SUMMARY
Responsible for providing independent, objective assurance as to whether the bank’s internal control over financial reporting is effective. 
Responsible for providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice and insight for key risk areas of the bank, focusing on the Operations Risk areas.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
FDICIA
Develop and maintain detailed testing plans for key controls. Coordinate FDICIA testing activities with FDICIA management and Internal Audit.
Execute entity level control tests in accordance with policies and guidelines. Gather testing evidence and prepare documentation regarding the testing procedures performed. Conduct follow-up tests to determine adequacy of remedial actions.
Review and validate process level testing performed by the Sox Specialists. Assist where needed.
Communicate test results. Provide testing status reports to management and the Audit Committee.
Assist in the implementation of changes and upgrades to testing practices to meet or exceed applicable industry standards such as the COSO Internal Control – Integrated Framework. Assist in the development and maintenance of testing policies and procedures.
Serve as the Audit Department representative on any related FDICIA documentation and testing applications or systems.
 
Operations Audit
Understand and learn business objectives and services and the related risks and controls primarily for the Operations area of the Bank.
Plan, manage, perform and document audits and reviews primarily for the Operations areas of the Bank.   Report significant issues and potential improvements to Internal Audit management.
Supervise and review the activities of others assisting in the performance of these audits.
Monitor key metrics relative to the Operations areas in support of the audit risk assessment.
Participate as an ex-officio member of various Bank committees. Serve as a “Trusted Advisor” and provide guidance to management on internal control matters as needed.
Assist in other audits and reviews as assigned. Perform special projects and administrative duties, as assigned.

Other
Cooperate with, participate in, and support the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements (e.g. BSA Policy).
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience required is a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, business administration/management, finance, or equivalent from an accredited college. FDICIA testing, auditing or Bank Operations experience preferred. Degree requirement can be substituted with specified experience and/or relevant coursework. Other auditing certifications are a plus (e.g., CRMA, CIA, CPA, CISA). Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.

SUMMARY 
Employee that will accurately & efficiently perform in a professional environment and is the “face of Somerset Trust Company” to our retail branch customers by providing personable, quick service performing a set of regular procedures, as well as a variety of customer requests & transactions, including, but not limited to: check cashing and deposits, loan payments, product explanation and being able to identify opportunities to refer customers as needed. Employee will clearly & respectfully communicate with customers and have ability to resolve customer issues as they arise. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS

Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.
Recognizes opportunities to explain, promote, or sell financial products or services offered by the bank.
Removes deposits from, and counts and balances cash in, and night depository.
Accepts loan payments.
Resolve customers issues as they arise.
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and security procedures. Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully communicate with customers or coworkers. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to apply common sense to perform assigned duties and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Displays an eagerness & ability to learn, efficiently use the technology provided, and is receptive to new ideas.
